Volunteer Opportunity in Boulder, CO

**BOULDER VOLUNTEER EVENT POSTPONED**
The volunteer bluebird box project at Valmont Station that was scheduled for this Friday, April 13th, has been postponed because of expected snowy weather.
The event will be rescheduled.

On Friday April 13, 2007, help install bluebird boxes at Valmont Station and improve the Important Bird Area habitat around the reservoirs.

Fifth Annual Snow Goose Festival

February 22, 2007
This year's Snow Goose Festival will be held February 23-25 in Lamar. Wildlife enthusiasts honor the thousands of large, white birds as they move through eastern Colorado during their spring migration. Also the Colorado Birding Trail, one of Audubon Colorado's priorities, will be launched at this event.

January 17, 2007

The 107th Annual Christmas Bird Count has Arrived

November 17, 2006
Join citizen scientists throughout the state and become a part of a holiday tradition, the Christmas Bird Count. This year's event will take place between December 14th, 2006 and January 5, 2007.

Audubon Colorado Dedicates its 54th Important Bird Area
September 26th, 2006
Audubon Colorado officially dedicated its 54th Important Bird Area today in Boulder, Colorado. The site is Xcel Energy’s Valmont Generating Station reservoir. This site was designated because of the large concentrations of waterfowl species that frequent the area, primarily as a wintering habitat and rest stop during spring and fall migration.
