Outdoor Learning
.

History has shown that people will protect only what they understand, and will understand only what they are taught. Nowhere is this truer than with the environment.

Audubon has embarked on a campaign to establish Audubon Centers across the U.S. Our Centers will be the libraries of nature, not only teaching people about the environment but also instilling conservation values and helping people of all ages forge a deep and personal bond with nature.

Audubon insists that environmental education should be readily available to ALL. Our programs strive to reach the broadest possible diversity of audiences with special emphasis on traditionally under-served communities where children have the least opportunity to connect with nature.
